Nottawasaga OPP are appealing for witnesses who might help explain why
a Brampton man was lying injured in the middle of a rural road west of
Ivy in Essa Township just before 6 pm yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to assist Simcoe County paramedics at 5:55 pm on
25th Sideroad at the intersection of the 8th Line where the male was
found "lying in the middle of the 25th Sideroad. He was conscious but
had sustained injuries to his face and the back of his head. The male
was operating a 1992 brown 4-door Acura and the vehicle was found
parked in the live westbound lane of the 25th Sideroad of Essa
Township."
Nottawasaga OPP media relations officer, Constable Kelly
Daniels-Griffis noted via email that it was possible that an assault
may have taken place, but, "We truly don't know.... it appears so from
the injuries. We're hoping someone saw a little more."
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating officer
Provincial Constable Natalie Majer. (705) 434-1939.
