No major storm damage reported

Hurricane Sandy will go down as all bluster little substance in Essa Township which had taken precautions, particularly around flood prone areas in Angus, just in case.

CAO/Public Works Manager Greg Murphy told Free Press Online this morning that "we "weathered" the storm very good."

"No major flooding or tree damages in our municipality have been reported to our office," said Mr. Murphy. "I heard there was a partial power outage in the Angus and Borden areas yesterday morning. I understand that Hydro One responded and restored service to the affected residents and businesses later that morning."
