Essa pays out more than $6 million over summer months

Essa Township paid out $6,489,403 between June 29 to August 29
according to the summary voucher included on tomorrow night's council
agenda - the first full meeting in two months.
Tax and development charges remittances to Simcoe County, and
the various County school boards, as well as OPP contract instalment,
and capital works projects in roads, water, and Thornton Arena
upgrades, accounted for the bulk of the funds.
Essa's contribution to its employee pension plan was about
$47,000 during that period; Visa payments dated June 16, 2012 to July
15, 2012 with a payment date of August
5, 2012 was $13,925.41; and payroll for the month of July in the amount
of $173, 173.20 for the month of August was $184,334.05.
