Simcoe County provides its Warden with a vehicle, which is replaced new
every three years. The next purchase is scheduled for next year and
will proceed as planned after councillors agreed today to keep the
replacement policy in place.
The worst case scenario, according to the draft budget package was "the
Warden will keep the current vehicle in use and the County will have
surpassed the County policy time frame regarding Warden vehicle
replacement by one year."
The draft budget includes $60,000 for a new vehicle but with the
estimated trade-in value of $25,000 on the current vehicle, the budget
impact is $35,000.
